Emphasis in Family Law
Family law is all I do. This includes divorce, legal separation, child custody and parenting plans, property valuations and asset divisions, domestic partnerships, non-parental custody, relocations and adoptions.
Philosophy
Compassionate and conscientious advocacy defines my practice. I get to know my clients as individuals, and I create a safe and informed space, literally and figuratively, for them to make intelligent decisions. I don’t indulge bullies, work as a hired gun, or engage in petty squabbles with opposing counsel. I want to feel as good about my work as you do.
Technology in the Law Office
I use technology to help me provide cost-effective, fast and personal service to my clients. I store all file material, where possible, electronically. My clients receive electronic copies of documents promptly, often accompanied by a personal note and case status update. I encourage clients to use email to stay in contact with me.
“Unbundled” Legal Services Option
In some cases, I can offer “unbundled” legal services instead of full representation. This type of representation may make legal assistance more affordable for you, because it is task-specific. For example, you could hire me to only write a letter, argue a motion, or draft a pleading.
